The Murat is a river in France , which in Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes runs. It rises in the municipality of Deux-Chaises , drains in the upper reaches under the name Rivière de Chaume in a westerly direction. After passing the town of the same name Murat , it changes its name to the definitive name Murat (also Ruisseau de Murat ). At Villefranche-d'Allier , it swings north and flows into the Aumance as a left tributary after a total of around 22 kilometers in the municipality of Tortezais .
