The Museum Forest Railway SHARYA ( Russian Узкоколейная железная дорога Шарьинского музея леса , transkr. Uskokoleinaja schelesnaja doroga Scharinskowo museja lessa , transl. Uzkokolejnaâ železnaâ doroga Šar'inskogo muzej Lesa ) is a narrow-gauge railway in a ceremonially opened on 4 October 2014 open-air Forest Museum ( Russian Шарьинского музея леса ) at SHARYA in the Oblast Kostroma in Russia .

history

The two-kilometer forest railway runs through Sharja Park in Kostroma Oblast. It has a track width of 750 mm. It is occasionally used for tourist purposes. The tracks were probably laid in 2014, and a new wooden platform was built by 2015 at the latest. The railway was operational in 2016.

The exhibits mainly consist of locomotives , passenger and freight cars , tractors , forest and caterpillar tractors and trucks used to move wood , and even a small airplane.
