Music Team Germany was a joint music project between various German musicians, actors, comedians and athletes. It was created in the spring of 2006 under the leadership of the German pay TV broadcaster Premiere .
Emergence
A special World Cup song was to be created for the live broadcast of the 2006 soccer World Cup matches on Premiere. Musically, they went back to the title Won't Forget These Days , which was originally published in 1992 by the Hanoverian band Fury in the Slaughterhouse . Numerous well-known artists and athletes could be won as interpreters, including: Afrob , Alexander Klaws , Andreas “Zecke” Neuendorf , Andreas Hinkel , Anna Loos , Célia Okoyino da Mbabi , Heinz Rudolf Kunze , Henning Wehland , Jan Josef Liefers , Jasmin Wagner , Kai Wingenfelder (Fury in the Slaughterhouse), Laith Al-Deen , Marta Jandová (Die Happy), Mieze Katz ( MIA. ), Nadja Benaissa , Patrick Nuo , Per Mertesacker , Renate Lingor , Rüdiger Brans , Rolf Stahlhofen , Die Prinzen , Stefan Gwildis , Thomas Anders , Thomas Brdaric , Wolfgang Niedecken and Katrin Schwarz , the Miss Germany International.
All those involved waived their royalties for the project. The income from record sales goes to the charitable organizations Dunkelziffer e. V., WISH - a heartfelt wish for sick children e. V. and music helps ( Nordoff -Robbins-Stiftung).
