geography

course

The Muttenreuss rises at about 2360  m above sea level. M. on the western slope of the Chrummegg , which rises below the Muttenhörner . After a short walk to the northeast, it picks up the runoff of the Mutten glacier and the water that rises below the Blaubergpass from the left. It reaches the Mutten valley , where mostly nameless, short streams flow mainly from the left, including the Muttenstafelbach .

At Ebnet you flow to the Ebnenbach from the right , before it flows through a small gorge at Schluecht , which is sometimes also called Loch . Shortly afterwards the Muttenreuss flows into Schweig at 1705  m above sea level. M. from the left into the Witenwasserenreuss. This is about the same length here, but usually carries less water than the Muttenreuss.
