Mystków ( German Müstkau ) is a village with a Schulzenamt of the municipality Kamionka Wielka in the powiat Nowosądecki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .

geography

The place lies under the western Low Beskids .

The neighboring towns are Nowy Sącz in the west, Paszyn in the north, Mszalnica in the east, Kamionka Mała in the south.

history

The place was founded in 1324. In 1326 there was already a church. In 1427 the village was sold to Władysław II Jagiełło .

After the First Partition of Poland, Mystków became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).

In 1788, in the course of the Josephine colonization, German colonists of Catholic denomination were settled. By the end of the 19th century, the colonists' descendants were Polonized. In 1900 the village had 851 inhabitants in 132 houses, 850 of them Polish-speaking, 811 Roman Catholic, 39 Jews.

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Mystków became part of Poland. This was interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II , during which it belonged to the Generalgouvernement .

From 1975 to 1998 Mystków was part of the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship .
