Paszyn is a village in the powiat Nowosądecki in Poland in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It is located about seven kilometers east of Nowy Sącz .

The place lies under the Low Beskids .
The neighboring towns are Piątkowa in the west, Koniuszowa in the north, Mystków in the south.
history
The place was founded by the citizens of New Sandez and first mentioned in a document in 1365. At that time it belonged to the town of Neu Sandez.
After the First Partition of Poland , Paszyn became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).
In 1900 the village had 990 inhabitants in 151 houses, all of them Polish-speaking and Roman Catholic.
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Paszyn came to Poland. This was interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II , during which it belonged to the Generalgouvernement .
From 1975 to 1998 Paszyn was part of the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship .
