Myttschenky ( Ukrainian Митченки ; Russian Митченки Mittschenki ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 1200 inhabitants (2004).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1636, is the only locality of the district council of the same name in the northeast of the Bachmatsch district, 8 km southeast of Baturyn and 30 km northeast of the Bachmatsch district center . Myttschenky is located south of the bank of the Seim on the regional road P-61, southeast of the M 02 .
Personalities
In 1775 the beekeeper Petro Prokopowytsch († 1850) , who came from an old Cossack family , was born in the village.
