Nándor Csóka (* 17th October 1996 in Miskolc ) is a Hungarian boxer in the flyweight .

Career

The 1.72 m tall flyweight (up to 52 kg) began boxing in 2011 and became the Hungarian youth champion in 2013. He was a participant in the European Youth Championships in Rotterdam in 2013 and in Zagreb in 2014 , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round against Viliam Tankó and Nikola Bukilica. At the Youth World Championships 2014 in Sofia , he failed in the preliminary round to Karthik Sathish Kumar.

In June 2015, he started in an elite competition for the first time when he started at the European Games in Baku . He defeated Maciej Jóźwik before losing to Narek Abgaryan in the round of 16. In August 2015 he achieved his greatest success so far when he won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Samokow . He had beaten Ferhat Pehlivan and Dodji Ayigah before losing to Daniel Asenow in the semi- finals. In October 2015 he still took part in the World Championships in Doha , but was eliminated in the preliminary round match against David Jiménez . He also won the Hungarian championships in 2015.

In 2016 he tried to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio , but failed in the elimination tournaments in Samsun and Baku against Muhammad Ali and Ryomei Tanaka.

At the European Championships 2017 he was eliminated in the preliminary round against Peter McGrail . In 2018 he was again Hungarian bantamweight champion.

In 2019 he was eliminated from the first fight at the European Games .
