Näsinneula

Näsinneula [ næsinˌneu̯lɑ ] is the most May 1, 1971, completed 168-meter high TV tower in Finnish Tampere . It belongs to the Särkänniemi amusement park and is the tallest observation tower in Northern Europe . The Näsinneula has a revolving restaurant at a height of 124 meters . An open viewing platform is located at a height of 111 meters, the closed platform at a height of 120 meters. In contrast to Särkänniemi Park, the tower is open all year round.

In the years 1996 to 1997, the elevators that the Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik AG Schlieren-Zurich delivered in 1971 were replaced by faster ones from Otis . They reach a speed of six meters per second and thus need 27 seconds to get from the ground to the viewing platform.

At the top of the tower there are three lights that indicate a weather forecast:

to shine       Weather forecast
three yellow clear sky
two yellow and one green partly cloudy
one yellow and two green partly rainy
three green rainy
