The Néant is a river in France that runs in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises in the municipal area of Pierrefitte-sur-Sauldre , generally drains in a westerly direction away from large settlements through the natural landscape of Sologne, which is rich in lakes and flows into the Beuvron as a left tributary after 41 kilometers at the municipal border of Montrieux-en-Sologne and Vernou-en-Sologne .
