The Nuremberg was a German trawler which the First World War the Imperial Navy as a patrol boat and in the Second World War as a Norwegian spoils the Navy as a U-Hunter served. After being returned to Norway as a fishing steamer, she sank in a heavy storm in 1949.

history

The Nürnberg was put into service in 1902 under the fishing license number BB ( Bremen ) 41. On June 3, 1910, it changed to the identifier ON ( Grand Duchy of Oldenburg - Nordenham ) 36.

On November 3, 1914, she was assigned to the outpost flotilla Ems as an outpost boat. From July 12, 1915 she served in the outpost half-flotilla east. On August 22, 1918, the Nuremberg was interned in Holland ; the background is unknown.

After the end of the war she was used in Emden in the herring fishery . In 1928 it was renamed Tjalda . In 1931 the Tjalda was sold to Norway and renamed Urter . During operation weserübung it became the German war booty and the Navy as NS 27 bison apparently as a U-hunters put into service. On July 29, 1944, the name was changed to UJ 1757 . After the German surrender , the boat was returned to Norway and again put into service as the Urter . She capsized on January 20, 1949 at Starfjord in heavy seas , killing one crew member.
