Nader Maleki (born November 19, 1947 in Tehran ) is an Iranian banker and CEO of the Maleki Corporate Group based in Frankfurt am Main .

Life

Nader Maleki has lived in Germany since 1969 . He studied at the State Economic Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Business Administration and completed his studies with the doctorate in 1978 at the University of Dortmund from. In 1979 he joined the Deutsche Bank branch in Munich. In 1981 he moved to the head office in Frankfurt and founded a public relations department there ; In 1989 he became its director.

Two years earlier (1987) he founded the International Bankers Forum , of which he is now President. Today the International Bankers Forum is Germany's largest, privately organized professional association for bankers with around 1000 individual and 45 institutional members.

Maleki began initiating congresses and events for the financial industry. With the Maleki Group - Financial Communications & Consulting, founded in 1995, he developed conference projects in Germany as a financial center. In August 2012, Maleki initially sold 60% and in 2015 the remaining 40% of the subsidiary Maleki Communications Group to the Dfv Mediengruppe .

Congresses such as the Euro Finance Week, the European Banking Congress, the Frankfurt Global Business Week, Frankfurt meets Davos, the annual financial center gala (banking and stock market ball) and the European Banker of the Year award , which has been awarded annually since 1994, can be attributed to him.

On September 1, 2017, Maleki took over the management of all units of his Maleki Group (Maleki Corporate Group). Here Maleki develops concepts and products for banks, stock exchanges, financial service providers, companies and investors as well as in the Maleki Academy.

Projects and conferences of the Maleki Corporate Group are the annual Future Europe conference, which Nader Maleki developed in 1997. In 2018 Nader Maleki made his Future Europe concept a core project for other conferences such as Future Europe - Sustainable Europe, African Europe Forum, european digital week and Caspian Europe Forum.

In recognition of his services to the Frankfurt financial center, the Federal President awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in October 2002 . In 2017 he was awarded the plaque of honor of the city of Frankfurt am Main and was named international economic ambassador for the city of Frankfurt am Main . In 2018 he received the Hessian Order of Merit.

Voluntary work and initiatives

Maleki is also committed to cultural and social projects. In 2000 and 2001 he took over the "Frankfurt City Marathon" as the Euro Marathon Frankfurt . Within two years, he doubled the number of participants to 14,000.

His commitment also includes the Euro Charity Run (2002 to 2004) for the benefit of special schools in Frankfurt. Maleki was also involved in numerous initiatives for the Frankfurter Verein für bildende Kunst, the Frankfurter Kunstverein, UNICEF and the Leberechtstiftung. In the cultural field, Maleki promotes young talents at the piano. In 2008 his wife Maryam Maleki founded the "International Piano Forum", which organizes the annual International German Pianist Award in the Alte Oper Frankfurt.

Private

Maleki has been married since 1986. The couple have a daughter and a son.
