Nana Nafiou Badarou (born January 30, 1988 in Kouhounou , Cotonou , Littoral ) is a Beninese national football player .

Career

Badarou began his career in the youth of AS de Cotonou . He left his hometown club AS Cotonou at the age of 15 and moved to the Beninese third division for Tepi Santé , where he made his senior debut in 2004 at the age of 16. In December 2004 he left his homeland Benin and moved to the MTN Division 2 at AS Cetef de Bonabéri . With the club from Littoral he rose in 2006 to the MTN Ligue 1. After the 2006 season he left AS Cetef and moved to league rivals Union Douala . There he played until January 2008 before moving to South Africa to the Rojo Soccer Academy . There he played only half a year for Rojo before he returned to the Cameroonian MTN Ligue 1 club Union Douala. Nafiou played for Union Sportive Douala for the next two years and played a few games in the CAF Confederations Cup. In May 2010 he was sorted out at Union Douala and returned to Benin, where he signed with Association Sportive du Port Autonome de Cotonou . After 23 months with ASPAC, he tried his luck in Swaziland and signed with the record champions Mbabane Swallows . With the Swallows he became champions of the Swaziland MTN Premier League in the 2013 season . On July 31, 2013, he announced his departure from Swaziland and moved to Algeria to ASO Chlef . He signed a three-year contract with the Ligue Professionnelle 1 club . He made his debut for ASO on August 25, 2013 in the league game against MC Oran .

International

On May 24, 2013, he was appointed to the Benin national football team against Algeria for the first time . In the game on June 9, 2013, he made his international debut for Les Écureuils against Algeria, where he was thrown off the field in the 67th minute with yellow and red.
