Naoko Sawamatsu ( Japanese 沢 松 奈 生子 , Sawamatsu Naoko ; born March 23, 1973 in Nishinomiya ) is a former Japanese tennis player .

Career

Sawamatsu won four individual titles on the WTA Tour in her professional career . However, she achieved her greatest success when she reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in 1995.

She played for her country at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 and in Atlanta in 1996 .

From 1988 she was also part of the Japanese Fed Cup team for ten years .
