Napole Polutélé (born June 25, 1965 in Muʻa , Uvea , Wallis and Futuna) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2013 .

Polutélé, who was born in the French overseas territory of Wallis and Futuna , studied in Toulouse and Bordeaux and then worked as a history and geography teacher. As such, he returned to his homeland after a year in Nouméa . From 2009 to 2012 he worked in the administration of Wallis and Futuna. After the mandate of the area's MP, David Vergé , was annulled by the Conseil constitutionnel in January 2013 , Polutélé ran for his successor in the March election. As a neutral candidate, supported by the UMP , he reached the second ballot, where he prevailed with 37.5% against Mikaele Kulimoetoke (32.2%) and Lauriane Vergé (30.2%), the wife of the previous MP. He was initially non-attached in parliament and then belonged to the Parti socialiste faction . In 2017, he ran as an independent with declared support for Emmanuel Macron and was re-elected with 50.2% in the first ballot. He is also a member of the Territorial Assembly of Wallis and Futuna , where he received a mandate through the Fakatahi kihe kahaʻu e lelei list .
