The Narellan Road is a main road in the southwest of Sydney in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales . It connects Appin Road in Campbelltown with The Northern Road and Camden Valley Way in Narellan . Together with the (much longer) Northern Road, it forms an outer, western link around the greater Sydney area from Campbelltown to Windsor .

history

The four-lane road was opened in December 1998 and replaced State Road 69 on the same route. Together with the Southern Freeway (R1), Appin Road (S69), The Northern Road (Met-9) and Putty Road (S69), it forms a western bypass of Greater Sydney from Wollongong to Singleton .

course

In Campbelltown, Narellan Road is the continuation of Appin Road (S69) coming from the south to the west. The Campbelltown Road (S56) from the north also joins there . Shortly after Campbelltown, it crosses the Hume Highway (N31) and is called Metroad 9 from then on.

At Narellan Vale , the Camden Bypass (S89) branches off to the southwest . In Narellan , the Northern Road (Met 9) forms the continuation of the Narellan Road to the northwest. This is also where the Camden Valley Way (S89) flows from the northeast.
