Economic difficulties led to the shutdown of the mill. Today the property of the Ölsenmühle is owned by a master basket maker. During the renovation she paid attention to the environment and character of the mill and gave the property a reputation. A mill wheel was recreated for the old charm. Large sales and exhibition rooms for creative rattan furniture were created - a LIFE with NATURE.

The storage volume comprises 5 million m³ and was used to irrigate agricultural areas and to provide drinking and industrial water.
