Sodium dithiophosphate is a chemical compound of sodium and a salt of dithiophosphoric acid .
Extraction and presentation
Sodium dithiophosphate can be obtained by reacting phosphorus (V) sulfide with sodium hydroxide solution and subsequent hydrolysis of the higher thiophosphates formed at the same time .
properties
Sodium dithiophosphate undecahydrate forms six-sided prismatic crystals when the aqueous solution cools slowly, and needles up to 2 cm in length when cooled quickly. It has a crystal structure with the space group P 2 1 2 1 2 1 (space group no. 19) . The anhydrate has a crystal structure with the space group Pbca (No. 61) . From 350 ° C it decomposes to Na 3 PO 3 S and Na 3 POS 3 .
use
Natriumdithiophosphat becomes the flotation of molybdenum ore used.
