The Natschbach (Czech: Nivní potok) is a 8.71 km long, left tributary of the Pfreimd in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .
course
The Natschbach rises at a height of 555 m on the southern slopes of the 655 m high Kamenice and the 649 m high Srní vrch northeast of Nová Ves pod Přimdou in the Czech Republic . In the Czech Republic it bears the name Nivní potok (word origin from Czech: niva = German: corridor, floodplain, field).
It flows south from its source. After 2.7 km it takes on Mlýnský potok from the left, which comes from Nová Ves. Now the Natschbach turns to the southwest, flows in a wide semicircle to the west and finally to the northwest. After another 2 km the Železný potok flows from the left and after another 2 km also from the left the Mierbach , which here bears the name Farský potok (German: Ketschbach).
One kilometer from its mouth, it meets the German-Czech border and accompanies it for 500 m. Then the border deviates to the north and the stream now flows on German territory. After another 500 m the Natschbach flows into the Pfreimd, which is still called Katharinabach here.
Tributaries
The Natschbach flows through a damp meadow landscape, from which it absorbs numerous small unnamed streams from the left and right. It has three named tributaries from the left (from the source to the mouth):
- Mlýnský potok
- Železný potok
- Mierbach
