program

The party wanted to incorporate principles of Transcendental Meditation (TM) into politics. Through a number of criminal charges against politicians - the party said the goal was to file 10,000 criminal charges - these politicians were supposed to be responsible for their alleged complicity in "crimes" and "health damage" as a result of ignoring the proposed awareness technologies (such as the TM technique) be made. In the end, around 1,500 criminal charges were filed, including against the Federal Chancellor . However, they were rejected as unfounded by the Berlin public prosecutor .

According to the teaching propagated by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi , the party wanted to reduce health costs by more than 50% and offer solutions in many other areas. Furthermore, the Natural Law Party rejected the introduction of the euro and genetic manipulation, particularly of food.

The party also became known through “ Yogic Aviators ”. They claimed to be practicing a levitation technique mentioned thousands of years ago by the yoga founder Maharishi Patanjali in the so-called Yoga Sutras . As far as one can observe from the outside, the initial stage of the jumps performed in the lotus position is more similar to the frog jump. The practitioners claim, however, that the actually important phenomenon is not jumping, but the underlying mental activity and its effects on the nervous system and the environment.

development

The party's proposals never met with enough approval to win seats. At a federal assembly in 2001, the party decided not to participate in elections. In 2003 and 2004 the Natural Law parties were dissolved worldwide.
