As Biogeophysical unit 128.8 , a portion of is natural space land in the northeast of Baden-Württemberg designated. The nameless natural space unit with the number "128.8" of the main unit group Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten has three subdivision units in the second decimal place: the natural area northern building land (No. 128.80), the Wolferstetten-Eiersheimer Höhe (No. 128.81) and the natural area Book on the maple (No. 128.82).

In the natural space unit no. 128.8, the main shell limestone is significantly less important than the wave limestone in terms of morphological importance. Compared to the Odenwald roof, the density of flowing water is low. In addition to several karstification phenomena, a number of small dry valleys appear. Weathered loam on lime characterize the soils of the plateaus, in places with loess loam, rarely also with loess loam coverings. In places where Lettenkeuper covers the surface, the soils tend to become waterlogged (mostly in areas of grassland use).
