The Weichselbrunn pond and dry pine forest near Bodenwöhr is a nature reserve near Bodenwöhr in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .
The nature reserve is located 2 kilometers north of Bodenwöhr. It is part of the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park and the Upper Bavarian Forest Protected Landscape Area .
The 111 hectare area includes the Weichselbrunner Weiher and parts of the Gleixnerbach valley . In the nature reserve, contrary to what the name suggests, most of the area is forested. These are mostly dry, lichen-rich sandy pine forests that directly border on silting areas. The lichens and mosses of the pine stands as well as the silting zones are extremely sensitive to footsteps. The site is part of the Bodenwöhr Bay natural area .
The nature reserve was designated on March 4, 1993.
