The Nedertal is a right side valley of the lower Ötztal in Tyrol , through which the eponymous Nederbach flows. It starts at 2017  m above sea level. A. located Kühtaisattel , from where the valley extends westward towards Oetz and runs roughly parallel to the Inn valley . The end of the valley is opposite Sautens , where the Nederbach flows into the Ötztaler Ache after breaking through a rocky gorge . Three side valleys, the Wörgetal , the Mittertal and the Längental branch off to the south.

The valley is only sparsely populated, the only larger settlement next to the Kühtai winter sports resort on the top of the pass is the Ochsengarten belonging to the Haiming community . At the confluence of the Längental into the Nedertal below the Kühtaisattel lies the Längental reservoir of the Sellrain-Silz power plant group .

The 17.1 km long Kühtaistraße (L237) runs through the Nedertal and connects the Ötztal and the Sellraintal via the Kühtaisattel . From Ochsengarten a road leads over the Silzer Sattel into the Inn Valley to Haiming.
