Neggio is a municipality in the Malcantone region in the Magliasina district in the Lugano district in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland .

geography

The community lies at an altitude of 389 m above sea level. M. on the steep hill above Magliaso between Lugano and Ponte Tresa . From Neggio you have a good view of Lake Lugano .

history

The village was first mentioned in 807 under the then name Nego .
