Neudorf is a district of the city of Prichsenstadt in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen .
Geographical location
Neudorf is in the east of the Prichsenstadt municipality. The north is occupied by Bimbach , while the district of Schweinfurt begins in the northeast, east and southeast . In the south is the so-called Lochmühle, which is part of the Altenschönbacher district. To the west of the place is Neuses am Sand , in the north-west is Brünnau .
The closest, larger cities are Gerolzhofen at a distance of about 6.5 kilometers and Volkach , which is about 11 kilometers away.
history
The place was probably founded in the 11th century, the Würzburg prince-bishops had the village built. For the first time in the sources, “nova villa” becomes tangible in 1237. In 1407 Dietrich Fuchs von Bimbach bought Neudorf as a fief from the Würzburg bishops. In 1972 Neudorf became part of the Prichsenstadt community.
Attractions
The town hall was built in 1864. It was decorated with a square roof turret with a weathercock.
