New Eurasian Continental Bridge
The new Eurasian Continental Bridge ( Chinese 新亚欧大陆桥 , Pinyin Xin Asia-ou Dalu Qiao , English New Eurasian Continental Bridge ), which also Second Eurasian Continental Bridge ( 第二亚欧大陆桥 , Dì'èr Ya-Ou Dalu Qiao , English Second Eurasian Continental Bridge ) is a 10,870 kilometer rail link that connects Rotterdam in Europe with the east Chinese port city of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province .

The railway connection has existed since 1990 and runs through the Djungarian Gate ( Alashankou border station ). The Lan-Xin Railway ( Chinese 兰 新 铁路 , Pinyin Lán-Xīn Tiělù ), i.e. the route from Lanzhou to Urumqi (in Xinjiang ), is part of it.
There is a northern, middle and southern route. The middle route runs through Kazakhstan via Dostyk , Aqtogai , Nur-Sultan (until 2019 Astana) , Samara , Smolensk , Brest , Warsaw , Berlin to the port of Rotterdam . From the Slovakian Košice there will also be a junction into the Greater Vienna area, see broad gauge Košice – Vienna .
