Neuehütten is a district of the municipality of Wiesenburg / Mark in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .
geography
The district is located northwest of the community center. This is followed in a clockwise direction by the other districts Schlamau , Schmerwitz , the Vorwerk Klein Glien of the Hagelberg community , the community center and the Reetzerhütten district . The district extends in a wedge shape along federal highway 107 , but only the southeastern part is built on. The north-western part is forested.
history
The existence of a pitch furnace is passed down from 1675 . This is also the first written mention of the place. Craftsmen used the resin-containing wood from Fläming to produce wood tar and wood vinegar through smoldering . At that time, the pitch furnace was in the middle of a wooded area. Little by little, residents settled around this furnace, who lived in the new settlement “Neue Pechhütte” in 1710. At the end of the 18th century the name, which was still present in the 21st century, appeared. The place and the surrounding forest belonged to Brandt von Lindau at this time. They set up two sawmills around the turn of the century. As a sideline, the residents farmed and processed wax . In 1908 a cycling club was founded. During the GDR era , there were 204 inhabitants in the village in 1988. The main source of income was still the wood processing industry.
Culture
Numerous clubs are active in the village: a volunteer fire brigade, a local group of people's solidarity , a cycling club and a group of pensioners.
Economy and Infrastructure
In addition to a few small businesses, there is a beverage shop, a guesthouse, an architecture office, a forestry service provider, a drywall builder and a courier and small transport company.
The main traffic axis is the federal highway 107. To the north there is a connection to Schlamau and to the south to the district Wiesenburg Bahnhof. The bus lines 555, 587 and 588 of the VBB provide a connection with Bad Belzig and Wiesenburg / Mark.
