history

The village of Zinna was first mentioned in 1170. The two are closely connected to the village Zinna deserted villages , Slawtitz, 1384 for the first time mentions waste since 1480 and Studenitz, the first time in 1225 mentioned that waste 1410 to the Kloster Zinna fell. From 1680 the place belonged to the district of Luckenwalde, from 1816 to the district of Jüterbog-Luckenwalde . The place was then called the village of Zinna . From 1860, a large part of the site had to be ceded for military installations. In 1937 the village of Zinna was dissolved and incorporated into the Jüterbog shooting range . After the Second World War , the reconstruction of the place began and it was settled by refugees from the Gablonz area. The refugees began producing jewelry in 1946, which in 1950 became VEB Gablona Schmuckwaren, today Gablona Schmuck GmbH. On November 1, 1951, the place was renamed Neuheim. Neuheim has been part of the Jüterbog office since 1992. On December 31, 1997, she joined the city of Jüterbog. In March 2000, 322 residents lived in the village.

The village church

The original church was built around 1200, the tower is a modern half-timbered construction. In 1637 the church burned down to the ground. The church was rebuilt from 1659 onwards, the last of which was the altarpiece in 1672/1673. The church was renovated as early as 1702/1703, including two windows. Two more windows were added between 1722 and 1724. After the site was given up in 1937, the church fell into disrepair. Around 1963 the church was restored. A renovation takes place from 1997 to 1999.

The church is a Romanesque hall building with a choir and a low, semicircular apse . Major parts of the furnishings were lost in 1937. The organ dates from 1833/1834, the work has been lost. The galleries are from the period of reconstruction (1678–1689) and the first renovation (1722–1724). The gallery was expanded again in 1833 for the organ. In the church there are several inscription tombstones, such as a tombstone for Pastor Wolfgang Schmidt, who took care of the reconstruction.

The church is a listed building.
