Neuhof is a district of the town of Penkun in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

geography

The place is four kilometers southwest of Penkun. The southern edge of the Neuhof district also forms the state border with neighboring Brandenburg . The neighboring towns are Kirchenfeld in the east, Luckow-Petershagen in the south-east, Wartin in the south-west and Sommersdorf in the north-west.

history

On December 1, 1910, the then Neuhof estate had a total of 55 inhabitants.

On January 1, 1999, the municipality of Sommersdorf was dissolved and Neuhof, which had been a district up until then, was also incorporated into the city of Penkun.

traffic

The traffic connection for Neuhof is via the district road VG 86 leading from Sommersdorf into town . In addition, there is a connecting road to the neighboring Kirchenfeld, which then leads to Penkun.
