The Neureuth is a 1264 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Bavarian Prealps east of the Tegernsee and one of the most popular excursion destinations for Munich residents. The summit with the much-visited Berggasthof Neureuth can be reached as a simple mountain hike from Tegernsee or Gmund . Even in winter, the Neureuth can be reached without special equipment. Alternatively, you can descend to Schliersee via the 1335 m high Gindelalmschneid and the Gindelalm .
The Neureuthhaus stands at the summit ; it has been owned by the city of Tegernsee since 1964 and is run by tenants as a mountain inn. Construction of the Neureuth accommodation house began on May 14, 1895, and it was opened on August 18 of the same year.
