The Hirschberg is a 1668 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Prealps south of the Tegernsee .
The summit can be reached as an easy mountain hike either from Scharling , Kreuth or Bad Wiessee , whereby all three options are not difficult . Below the summit is the Hirschberghaus, which is open all year round, at 1511 m . The Hirschberg is known as the Tegernsee panoramic mountain with a far-reaching panorama in all directions. In winter it is often climbed on skis from Kreuth via the Rauheck-Alm or on foot from Scharling. The path leads easily over the toboggan run to the Hirschlacke, then steep and sometimes icy over the so-called Kratzer to the Hirschberghaus and finally over the free ridge to the summit. The summer path is at risk of avalanches in winter and should not be used.
The aforementioned Kratzer is a 1,544 m high secondary summit of the Hirschberg with a summit cross and the Hirschberghaus.
