Nia Nicole Grant (born May 8, 1993 in Warren , Ohio ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Grant comes from an athletic family. Her father, African, played American football in the NFL, and other family members were active in various sports. Nia Grant started her own career at Howland High School in Warren. In parallel, the middle blocker played in the Pittsburgh Renaissance club . From 2011 to 2014 she studied communication science at Pennsylvania State University and played on the university team during this time. The diagonal attacker won the college championship with the team in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 she took part in the Universiade in Gwangju with the USApart. In the 2015/16 season Grant played in the French league at Volley-Ball Nantes . She was then signed by the German Bundesliga club Allianz MTV Stuttgart , with whom she won the DVV Cup . In 2017 she moved to BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała in Poland . In 2018 Grant returned to the Bundesliga for SC Potsdam .
