Nicolae Mișu
Nicolae Mișu (born January 18, 1893 in Vienna , † 1973 in Romania ) was a Romanian tennis player .
Career
Mișu competed at the Wimbledon Championships from 1919 to 1930 , but never got past the third round. At the International French Championships he reached the round of 16 in 1926, in which he had to admit defeat to René Lacoste in three sets.
In his most successful year, 1919, Mişu developed into a feared opponent of Max Décugis , whom he beat in the final of three tournaments on the Côte d'Azur .
At the World Indoor Championships he reached the semifinals in 1919 and from 1921 to 1923 continuously. In 1924 he retired from the Olympic Games in Paris against the Belgian Jean Washer in the first round.
From 1922 to 1932 he played regularly in the Romanian Davis Cup team ; He won seven out of a total of 26 games.
