Nicholas Aaron Young (born June 1, 1985 in Los Angeles , California ), nicknamed Swaggy P , is an American basketball player who was last under contract with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA . Young is considered a good scorer and distance shooter and is used in the shooting guard and small forward positions . In the 2017/18 season he became NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors .
Career
Young played for the University of Southern California (2004-2007) and was twice elected to the All- Pacific-10 First Team (2005/06 and 2006/07). In the 2007 NBA draft , he was selected 16th by the Washington Wizards . In the NBA, Young got more playing time towards the end of the 2009/10 season due to the departure of Caron Butler and the injury of Josh Howard . Since then he has been in the starting five of the Wizards. On January 11, 2011 he achieved his personal record with 43 points against the Sacramento Kings .
In March 2012, the Wizards gave it to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a swap between three teams . After four months with the Clippers, Young signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in July of that year .
After his contract with the 76ers expired, Young received no new contract offer from the club. He then moved to the Los Angeles Lakers . Although he led the Lakers at the end of the season with 17.9 points per game as the top scorer, but could not qualify with the team for the playoffs. In the course of the rebuilding at the Lakers, however, Young's role became rather smaller in the next few years. In the 2016/17 season he put on 13 points per game as a starter for the Lakers.
In the summer of 2017 he signed with the then NBA champion, the Golden State Warriors . He won his first NBA championship with the Warriors in 2018 . His contract expired in the summer and Young couldn't find a new team at the start of the season.
On December 10, 2018, Young signed a one-year contract with the Denver Nuggets after they suffered numerous injuries.

Nick Young, who is considered a dazzling but honest person, is also known for his numerous eye-catching shoe creations that he wears during the games. He was in a relationship with the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and is the cousin of Kendrick Lamar .
