Nicole Weegmann
Nicole Weegmann (* 1966 in Karlsruhe ) is a German film director .
Life
Nicole Weegmann was born in Karlsruhe. After graduating from high school and a stay abroad in Italy, she began training as a photographer at the Lette-Verein in Berlin . She then studied audiovisual arts at the Art Academy ( Gerrit Rietveld Academie ) in Amsterdam . She then studied at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy , from which she graduated with a degree in directing and scenic film. In addition to her work as a director, Weegmann also lectures feature and documentary film directing at the international film school in Cologne.

- Prize for the best director and gold medal of IDAF Duisburg 1993 and Prize of the Mayor of Duisburg for Kreisel Macher Brumm
- Austrian prize for the best film at the Danubiale
- Audience Award of the Kellerkino Berlin 1994
- Wolfsheim : wins the MFG Star Baden-Baden 2000 young directors award . Wolfsheim was also nominated for the MFG Script Award 2000.
- You can never be sure : won the 3sat audience award at the Baden-Baden TV Film Festival in 2008 . He also won the DEFA Foundation Award at the Schlingel 2008 International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences in Chemnitz. At the FIPA (Festival International de Programs Audiovisuels) in Biarritz 2009 he won the main prize in the fiction section, the FIPA D'OR, as well as the prize for the best screenplay. He also won the Austrian TV award Romy for the best film of the year. Weegmann were awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize 2009. You can never be sure that you won the audience award at the Festival of German Films 2009 in Ludwigshafen . The film was nominated for the German Television Award 2009 in the categories of Best Television Film and Best Director .
