Nicole da Silva (born July 4, 1982 in Portugal , Queirela de Bodiosa, Viseu) is a German pop singer, presenter, actress, model and former "Cyber Miss".
life and career
Born in Portugal, whose parents emigrated to Germany, was born in July 1982 as the youngest of two children. She lived with her parents and her ten years older brother Manuel Costa da Silva in the small town of Bad Arolsen in northern Hesse and was raised bilingually. In addition to Portuguese and German, da Silva also speaks Italian , Spanish , English and a little French .
Nicole da Silva came to music and her first band Renacia through her uncle at the age of nine . In addition to high school, she toured Germany with her Portuguese band on weekends, gaining her first stage experience. At the age of 13 she bought her first playback CDs, which she rehearsed at home. A year later she started her solo career and was signed to Sony Music / Berlin Records for the first time. She dropped out of high school with secondary school leaving certificate and took private singing lessons. In 1999 she was in the charts for six weeks with her debut single. She performed on The Dome in front of 15,000 spectators . In 2000 she took dance lessons with the choreographer Detlef Soost . She was discovered by producer Lou Pearlman at the age of 17 and later promoted. At 18, she signed a new record deal. The single First Kiss follows . The lyrics were penned by Guy Roche, the choreography for the video was created in collaboration with Soost. She entered the German charts at number 62. She currently has an artist contract with the independent label Revilo Records under the producer Oliver Kels . The singer appeared in the opening act of the Germany-wide DJ BoBo Pirates of Dance Tour 2005 .
She also works as a model, including at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week . After finishing school in 1999 she was named “Miss Portugal in Germany” in both Germany and Portugal. She also received the title of "Cyber Miss". This was followed by television appearances on, among others, The Dome on RTL II , the IBIZA Summer Hits and Top of the Pops . This engagement brought da Silva to the front page of the men's magazine Playboy in February 2004 . This she dubbed “Germany's most beautiful pop star”. In November 2006 it graced the front page of the men's magazine MAXIM . She is also an advertising medium for the energy drink manufacturer RUSHH Europe AG. At the suggestion of her record company, she became an advertising star in the RTL2 commercial Be a Star!
She made her acting debut in November 2005 in the ARD soap Verbotene Liebe in the role of Melanie Grün . In June 2006 she was a guest at Stefan Raabs TV total . In January 2007 she received her own television show called "R'n'B Club Show". In January 2009, da Silva, who has lived in Cologne since 2001, took part as host in the Koch documentary The Perfect Celebrity Dinner on the private TV channel VOX .
In March 2012, da Silva took part in the documentary show The Entertainer - Into the Spotlight! of the television channel Super RTL . In the show, she appeared as a mentor who introduced her inexperienced protégé to show business.
