Rehearsals and concerts

The orchestra comes together for rehearsals twice a year, usually during the autumn and Easter holidays in Lower Saxony. Following this work phase, the orchestra usually gives four to five concerts. There is usually a concert in Lower Saxony and neighboring federal states, every few years abroad. In addition to the work phases in which the entire orchestra is present, there are also smaller projects with chamber music ensembles or individual vocal groups, as well as other projects, for which rehearsal weekends are usually carried out.

Members

The Lower Saxony Youth Symphony Orchestra accepts talented instrumentalists from Lower Saxony aged 14 to 21 who have previously passed an audition that takes place every year.
