Spechbach-le-Bas (German low pitch Bach , alsatian Neederspachbi ) is a former French commune in the department of Haut-Rhin in the former region Alsace . It belonged to the Arrondissement Altkirch , the canton Altkirch and the municipal association Secteur d'Illfurth founded in 1994 .
With effect from January 1, 2016, the municipality merged with the neighboring municipality of Spechbach-le-Haut to form the new municipality of Spechbach (Haut-Rhin) .
geography
Spechbach-le-Bas is located in the Sundgau , six kilometers north of Altkirch and 13 kilometers southwest of Mulhouse . The southern border is formed by the Largue river .
