Nikola "NiKo" Kovač (born February 16, 1997 ) is a Bosnian e-athlete who is active in the discipline Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .

Career

After Nikola "NiKo" Kovač had completed smaller tournaments in several small clans since 2013, the German organization mousesports announced in March 2015, after several test matches with NiKo, that they would sign him. After initially taking part primarily in international games, he won the ESL Spring Championship 2015 and won his first tournament win with mousesports on a national level in May . Only 2 days later he was put on the bench with teammate Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić. At the end of August 2015, however, he was brought back into the main lineup. While he and his team failed in the group stage at the Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca 2015 Major in November 2015 , they finished second at the CEVO Pro Season 8 Finals that same month . In 2016 he qualified with his team for the IEM Katowice and in February he won the ACER Predator Masters Season 2 with mousesports against Flipside Tactics . At MLG Columbus 2016 , he and his team were eliminated once again after the group stage. After he was able to qualify for ESL One Cologne 2016 , the major in the team's home country , with mousesports , they were also eliminated after the group phase. Shortly afterwards, at the end of July 2016, he reached the semi-finals of the ELEAGUE Season 1 Finals with mousesports . Further successes in 2016 included a finals at the Gfinity CS: GO Invitational , a semi-finals at the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals and a quarter-finals at the ELEAGUE Season 2 Finals . At the end of January 2017 at the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017 , he was again unable to get past the group stage with mousesports. Shortly before Dreamhack Las Vegas 2017 in February, mousesports announced that NiKo would be sold to FaZe Clan for a transfer fee of around € 500,000 and that it would leave mousesports after Dreamhack Las Vegas, which it ended when it reached the quarter-finals.
