The FaZe communities is a US-based e-Sport - the organization which in 2010 by the Webvideoproduzenten FaZe cilipz, FaZe Timid and FaZe Resistance was founded and was later taken over by the former designer FaZe's Thomas "Temperrr" Oliveira. The FaZe Clan currently binds e-athletes in the disciplines PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , Call of Duty , Counter-Strike: Global Offensive , Fortnite Battle Royale , Overwatch , Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and FIFA .

Call of Duty

The FaZe Clan was initially not active in professional esports and initially published recordings of the Call of Duty game series on YouTube. Under the title Call of Duty: Black Ops II , the FaZe Clan began its first efforts to take part in esports tournaments from organizers such as Major League Gaming . FaZe took part in the 2013 MLG Spring Championship and achieved a placement in the top six. Since then the FaZe Clan has been a regular participant in Major League Gaming tournaments. In 2014 the FaZe Clan took part in a Call of Duty World Championship for the first time and came in sixth. After this world championship, FaZe opened two more CoD sister teams named FaZe Red and FaZe Black . Both represented the organization at the World Cup in 2015. FaZe Red was only eliminated in the semi-finals. Despite this success, the two sections were dissolved again in 2015. FaZe Clan has been participating in the Call of Duty World League , launched with Call of Duty: Black Ops III, since 2015 . Since then, the US-Americans Ian “Enable” Wyatt , Thomas “ZooMaa” Paparratto and Dillon “Attach” Price have been part of the team , who regularly achieve podium positions at the continental tournaments with FaZe.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

In January 2016 FaZe Clan took over the CS: GO team from G2 Esports around Mikail "Maikelele" Bill . The quintet did not meet expectations in the first few months. In the first two major tournaments FaZe was eliminated in the group stage. Repeated player changes followed. Bill was exchanged alongside three other members of the founding quintet. Only the Norwegian Håvard "rain" Nygaard remained in the organization. Finn “karrigan” Andersen was accepted by Astralis in October 2016, followed by Nikola “NiKo” Kovač from mousesports in February 2017 . Since then, FaZe has played much more successfully. The team won the third edition of the StarLadder i-League StarSeries and reached the final of two tournaments of the ESL Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice and Sydney . FaZe was eliminated in the semifinals at ESL One Cologne 2017 . On the PGL Major: Kraków 2017 FaZe retired in the group stage. Already two weeks after this tournament, Aleksi "allu" Jalli was replaced on August 3, 2017 by the Slovak Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács . Just in time for the start of the ESL Pro League Season 6 , Olof "Olofmeister" Kajbjer was transferred from fnatic to the FaZe Clan on August 20, 2017 . He replaced Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey . In autumn, the FaZe Clan managed to win the ESL One New York 2017 and the Eleague CS: GO Premier 2017 tournament. In November 2017 FaZe reached the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Season XII - Oakland . In January 2018, FaZe reached the final of the Eleague Major: Boston 2018 . On June 17th, 2018 FaZe managed to take 1st place at the ESL One Belo Horizonte, with Jorgen "cromen" Robertsen replacing Olof "Olofmeister" Kajbjer. In February 2020 they won the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Regular Season ahead of Team Liquid . At the IEM Katowice 2020, the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals.

Overwatch

In June 2017, FaZe Clan acquired a sextet in Overwatch . This section reached the quarterfinals at the Overwatch Open hosted by Faceit and Eleague and reached the finals at the Major League Gaming tournament in Las Vegas in December 2016 .

On November 11, 2017 FaZe announced that the team with the acquisition Gorilla Core in Player's Unknown Battlegrounds enter.
