Nils Düwell

Nils Düwell (born January 11, 1966 in Greifswald ) is a German television and theater actor and theater director .

Life

Nils Düwell was born in Greifswald in 1966. He graduated from high school in Rostock before studying at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . First engagements led him a. a. to the Berliner Ensemble , the German National Theater in Weimar and the Schwerin State Theater . From 1998 to 2004 he was seen at the Störtebeker Festival on the island of Rügen as an opponent of Klaus Störtebeker.

As a theater director, Düwell u. a. in Weimar, Bern and Neustrelitz . His play Romeo and Juliet auf Bautzen II premiered at the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen in the famous former Stasi prison . In 2005, Düwell was involved in the development of the Boitzenburg Monastery Ruins Theater , where The Three Musketeers - The Queen's Jewels were performed in the first year . Since 2006, Düwell has been director of the Müritz saga , which has taken place every year in Waren (Müritz) ever since . Düwell also directs here.
