Njao is a small, uninhabited island in the Zanzibar Archipelago and is located northwest of Pemba . Together with Fundo Island , which is immediately adjacent to the south , the approximately 5.5 km², elongated island forms a natural barrier to protect the port of Wete , which is seven kilometers to the southeast.
