No Justice was an American country band on the Red Dirt scene.

history

The band formed in 2001 in Stillwater , Oklahoma , the center of the Red Dirt genre. She brought her first album out in 2003 with Far from Everything , the second album followed in 2006. As producers she was able to win Mike McClure and JJ Lester , who had played together in the band The Great Divide until 2003 . Lester was sometimes heard as a drummer. The line-up changed almost completely over the years, of the founding members only frontman Steve Rice is still active with No Justice.

In 2007 the band released their first live album, which continued the tradition of CDs recorded at Billy Bob's Texas nightclub by artists such as Willie Nelson , Stoney LaRue , Cross Canadian Ragweed and Pat Green . In 2010 her third studio album, 2nd Avenue , was released, followed in December 2012 by her new work America's Son . With these two albums No Justice was able to celebrate its greatest successes and made it into the top regions of various Billboard independent charts.

In September 2013, the band announced their split for the end of October that year. In their twelve-year band history, the musicians of No Justice have released five albums, which together have sold more than 100,000 times.

style

The band is very variable in style. According to Steven Rice, the various band members have jazz , metal , rock and blues backgrounds. The band also combines influences from R&B and funk . Rice says that stylistic diversity is important to him so that the music doesn't get boring.
