Knowing better - The great show of useless knowledge is a celebrity advice show that was shown on Tuesday at ProSieben from August 7, 2007 (at that time under the title Know-it-all - The great show of useless knowledge ) . The show was moderated by Oliver Welke .
Course of the game
In the show, celebrities were asked questions from various fields of "useless knowledge". There were four areas of knowledge per program, which were introduced with a short film in which three facts worth knowing were named.
The celebrities then each had to answer two questions by choosing from three different answer options. There were 20 IQ points for each correct question .
The Austrian journalist and writer Christian Ankowitsch was the expert for all questions . He answered the questions and provided further information in short introductions.
The program always ended with a final of the best on points against Professor Czimp (first season) or changing opponents (second season).
Know-it-all

Know better
From April 8, 2008, ProSieben broadcast the new episodes of the second season on Tuesdays. In order to keep the show longer this time, the show concept was changed slightly, e.g. B. the show was now officially titled "Noch Besserwissen". Ingo Appelt and Oliver Kalkofe were constant players. Many celebrities from the first season played as guests, but also new ones (see below). The rules of the game were also slightly changed: Professor Czimp appeared as the new candidate joker who was able to double the points of the worst player. The final was played against changing "celebrities".

Professor Czimp
According to moderator Welke and the celebrities, the chimpanzee Professor Czimp is a particularly gifted (IQ 160) universal scholar who has earned his doctorate in numerous fields.
In fact, he is actually a female chimpanzee, is called Sina and comes from the Simbeck Film School in Schwabenpark . According to ProSieben, she should actually wear shirts during the show, but always ate the buttons and therefore had to put on a sweater.
IQ levels
In the program, each candidate can earn IQ points by correctly answering the questions. When the intermediate results are displayed, it is shown which alleged equivalent corresponds to the number of points achieved so far. The lower scores in particular have changing and mostly derogatory and / or humorous terms such as the assignment of 20 IQ points to "expired yogurt". The following table is an example:
IQ | step |
---|---|
0 | Silverfish |
20th | Glass of warm water |
40 | Face sausage |
60 | Guard rail tester |
