Nora Hecker's real name is Nora Wieczorek (* 1980 in Essen ) and she is a German theater director , author and dramaturge . She lives in Bremerhaven.

After graduating from high school in Oberhausen and a voluntary social year , Hecker began studying applied theater studies , German and English at the University of Strasbourg in 2001 . In 2004 she moved to the Ruhr University Bochum , in 2007 she completed a distance learning course . Since 2002 Hecker has taken on directing internships and assistants a. a. with Jürgen Gosch and Matthias Hartmann . Hecker has been staging his own plays since 2001, including in Bochum, Essen and Hanover. In 2008 she staged the German premiere of the stage adaptation of the novel “Wie Licht schmeckt” by Friedrich Ani , and a year later she staged Franz Kafka's “Der Bau” in its own text version at the Hanover Theater. Twice she dedicated herself to the painter Frida Kahlo on stage: Once in 2010 with “My dress is hanging there or New York.
