Nordheim is a former parish village, now Kirchdorf, and a district of Donauwörth in the Donau-Ries district ( Bavaria ), about two kilometers south of the center.
On July 1, 1971, the previously independent municipality on the right side of the Danube was incorporated into the district town of Donauwörth as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . On July 1, 1972, Donauwörth and its districts were added to the Donau-Ries district , until May 1, 1973 with the name of Nördlingen-Donauwörth district.
The Schmutter flows into the Danube on the outskirts .
The Catholic branch church Maria Immaculata in Nordheim belongs to the parish of St. Georg in Auchsesheim . It was only consecrated on December 18, 1965. The previous building was a foundation of the Donauwörth merchant Joseph Schoderer (1770–1831) and was inaugurated after his death by the former abbot Cölestin Königsdorfer on May 15, 1833 (memorial plaque and old furnishings in the church).
