North Caucasian Islamic University Sheikh Muhammad Arif
The North Caucasian Islamic University Sheikh Muhammad Arif (Russian Северо-Кавказский исламский университет им шейха Мухаммад-Арифа; Transcription:.. Severo-Kawkasski islamski uniwersitet in Sheikha Mukhammad-Arifa. , Scientific transliteration. Severo-Kavkazskij islamskij universitet in šejcha Muchammad-. Arifa ; abbreviation СКИУ / SKIU) is located in Makhachkala (Makhachkala), the capital of Dagestan . It was founded in 1999. Akhmad Magomedowitsch Abdulayev is its rector. It is the most popular and leading Islamic educational institution in the republic in the North Caucasus .
In the tradition of schafiitischen law school ( Madhab standing) religious educational institution was by Sheikh Muhammad Arif (1901-1976), a sheikh of Nakschibendi - and Shadhili - Sufi orders ( tariqa named), to which the Silsila of Sufi -Scheichs Said Afandi al Tschirkawi (1937–2012) declined. Its address is 136 Dakhadaev Street in Makhachkala.
