North Lakekun ( Lakekun Utara ) is an Indonesian Desa ("village") in the Kobalima District ( Kecamatan ) ( Malaka Administrative Region , East Nusa Tenggara Province ) on the island of Timor .

geography

Nordlakekun is located in the southwest of the Kobalima district. Desa Lakekun is to the south , Litamali to the east and Sisi to the north . In the west, Nordlakekun borders the districts of Botin Leobele and East Malaka ( Malaka Timur ).

Residents

In 2010 there were 1,670 people in North Lakekun. They belong to the Tetum and Bunak ethnic groups . Most of the bunaks, as in the Welaus settlement , are descendants of refugees who left Maucatar in East Timor when it was given to the Portuguese by the Dutch in 1916 .
