North Sea (ship, 1895)
The North Sea was a small cargo steamer owned by the Oldenburg-Portugiesischen Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR). He was lost in 1910 on a journey from Scotland to Schleswig-Holstein .

In contrast to most of the other OPDR units, the North Sea was not used in liner services to Portugal and Spain , but in the area of the North Sea .
She ran on 11 October 1910 under Captain H. Schoon from Burntisland / Scotland with a cargo of coal to Husum and has been missing ever since. The cause of the accident is unknown; at the time of the crossing there was no stormy weather on the route .
According to the newspaper Der Weserbote. Braker Zeitung für Stadt und Land , edition of October 27, 1910, the following crew members were on board the steamer:

The maritime administration hearing
The Seeamt negotiation took place on February 18, 1911 before the Seeamt Brake. The result was announced in the news for city and country (Oldenburg) and the Weserbote on February 20 and 21, 1911 in an identical text:
... One case concerned the lost Oldenburg steamer "Nordsee", Schoon, which left Burntisland to Husum with a load of coal on October 10th and there is no news about it ...
