Norm Houser

Norman L. "Norm" Houser (born December 18, 1915 in Russiaville , California , † December 3, 1996 in Volusia , Florida ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Houser tried to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 mile race between 1947 and 1951 . Only in 1949 did he make it into the starting field with a Langley - Offenhauser . He finished the race in tenth place, 19 laps behind the winner Bill Holland .

His career was overshadowed by numerous accidents.
